I'm running PCB version 20130622 (and geda-gaf 1.8.2) under ArchLinux. Arch
is a great distro, unfortunately I would not recommend it for GNU/Linux
newbies unless you have a lot of time to read its extensive wiki and a
strong will to learn GNU/Linux internals. But if you have the time and
will, go for it!, you will learn a whole lot and run fairly recent versions
of all the software.
