Thank you for sharing. Unfortunately I don't use vim, although I'm using 
Debian GNU/Linux. I'm still a newbie in using it. I came from Windows 
world a time ago and like simply standalone repeatable solutions, and 
your proposal is not for newbie like me. I see how many typing errors I 
can do in that vim command so I'm wary of going this way every time I 
want to do some footprint conversion.
