OK, I tried running the pcb-20110918.exe that was in my c:\geda-20120318 that I unpacked from the build-*.zip, and I took the default directory of C:\Program Files\geda\whatever and if I run that pcb.exe, I get the icons and everything looks good. But that doesn't help gschem. I tried also installing the pcb-20110918.exe to my c:\geda-20120318 directory, but that didn't make it work from there. Also, I found that I had to change your environment variable suggestsions. The geda-windows web page suggests build\gEDA\share\guile\1.8 and build\gEDA\share\gEDA as paths, but there is no gEDA\share directory under that root. So I changed them to c:\geda-20120318\share\guile\1.8, etc. Regards, Colin
