FYI I found out why it's missing - newer releases use "make dist" to
build a snapshot, and that skips the guide, where a plain git snapshot
would have included it.

So please look in the 2010 release, or the git tree.  Also, please
open a launchpad bug for this so it gets fixed in the next release.
