Thanks Peter, now I don't have to boot into a Fedora Electronics Workbench virtualbox session to use gschem. I suppose I could have tried using GNOME3 as Colin suggested, but I was too interested in Fedora's offering. Thanks for the help. Here's hoping, in the future, there's a fix without having to specify settings manually at startup.
