"Don't run" why --- what are the symptoms, error messages, etc. ? And are those, by any chance, 64-bit XP machines you're talking about? Yes, DOS programs in general (not just ones compiled by DJGPP) will fail to work on all 64-bit versions of Windows unless supplied with extra software, e.g. an emulator or virtualization system.
