I was not aware of this.  You are welcome on working on the zlib port.
I hope I will finish the new bzip2 1.0.6 port today.

No there is no second dot in the filename.  It was an error in my
announcement template.
I will fix that for the next time.  The right filenames are:

 ftp://ftp.delorie.com/pub/djgpp/current/v2tk/pcre810b.zip
 ftp://ftp.delorie.com/pub/djgpp/current/v2tk/pcre810s.zip
and
 ftp://ftp.delorie.com/pub/djgpp/beta/v2tk/pcre810b.zip
