Basically: "Just type 'make' unless you get it from SVN, then do 'fix
djgpp' and 'make depend' ".

What file exactly do you have? What is the date on it? What size?

Here's mine:

(error which is  already fixed in 4.2.3 due to newer BinUtils' choking
on "fnstsw %eax")
sed -i "/fnstsw/s/eax/ax/" src\i386\icpus.s

(finishes building, took approx. 5 mins. for me)
(ran "TESTS\play.exe \windows\media\flourish.mid" in DOSBox correctly)
(ran "DEMO\demo.exe" in DOSBox correctly)

P.S. What soundcard do you have?
