Andris Pavenis pointed me to an unofficial build which is working well 
for me (on WinXP) :

I am also using the beta 2.04 version of DJGPP 
(DJDEV204_ALPHA.ZIP). DJGPP 2.03 just doesn't work well under 
Win2K/XP.

PS: DJ, when do we get an official 2.04 release? Let us know if there 
is anything we can do to help!
