Trying to compile binutils 2.951. My target is a Mipsel-Ecoff and im using the latest djgpp env to try and compile. Im getting the following error echo $f > tofiles c:/djgpp/bin/sh.exe ./../move-if-change tofiles ofiles touch stamp-ofiles c:/djgpp/bin/sh.exe ./libtool --mode=link gcc -o libbfd.la -rpath /dev/env/DJ DIR/lib -release 2.9.5 archive.lo archures.lo bfd.lo cache.lo coffgen.lo corefi le.lo format.lo init.lo libbfd.lo opncls.lo reloc.lo section.lo syms.lo targets. lo hash.lo linker.lo srec.lo binary.lo tekhex.lo ihex.lo stabs.lo stab-syms.lo ` cat ofiles` mkdir .libs ar cru .libs/libbfd.a archive.o archures.o bfd.o cache.o coffgen.o corefi le.o format.o init.o libbfd.o opncls.o reloc.o section.o syms.o targets. o hash.o linker.o srec.o binary.o tekhex.o ihex.o stabs.o stab-syms.o c off-mips.o ecoff.o ecofflink.o cpu-mips.o ranlib .libs/libbfd.a creating libbfd.la (cd .libs && rm -f libbfd.la && ln -s ../libbfd.la libbfd.la) ln: creating symbolic link `libbfd.la' to `../libbfd.la': Improper link (EXDEV) make.exe[2]: *** [libbfd.la] Error 1 make.exe[2]: Leaving directory `c:/Yaroze/gnu/binutl-2.951/bfd' make.exe[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make.exe[1]: Leaving directory `c:/Yaroze/gnu/binutl-2.951/bfd' make.exe: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2 Im not sure whats going on but i cant get past this issue, always get an Improper link error. Ive gone into the BFD dir and run make clean and make in there and always get that error. i can see a .libs folder, but i cant cd into it. Is this a problem? most of the other lib folders seem to be _libs not .libs Any thoughts? Hope someone can help
