There is also a modified source distribution available there as well. NETSNMPD is a DOS-DJGPP implementation of this package, and it is downloadable from the CADD-IT network ( http://www.caddit.net ). It has been build using WATTCP-32 R8 (available at http://www.bgnett.no/~giva/ ) and requires a DOS packet driver to run. For those using DJGPP under NT or WIN32 I recommend trying/buying/installing NDIS3Pkt available at http://www.danlan.com/ . Although the client programs work quite well for me (i.e. snmpwalk & snmpget) and useful with applications like mrtg, I am sorry to say that the server-apps (i.e. snmpd) are not very useful at this point. I do *not* recommend using them and they are purely present for testing. I would, however, enjoy hearing of any uses anyone has discovered for them. IPV6 support has also been disabled for now. There have been changes to several of the source files and some interface changes: The default MIB list(or other specified) is delimited by semicolons (NOT colons) The OID 'PREFIX' variable used by client apps is renamed to 'OPREFIX', as PREFIX is already used by DJGPP build environment. For more information about using configuring and using net-snmp see the project site: http://www.net-snmp.org/ Regards, Ben
