I would not expect an easy solution soon. Ask DJ Delorie about this. 4GB is a quite hard limit (32bit adressing, FAT32). !! >4GB of FAT 32 will NEVER WORK, whether an ERROR is reported or not. "We need Microsoft to give DOS programs a way to access 64-bit file I/O interface" NO. We can bypass the DOS and its I/O interface. I am sure this would work, it is just a nice piece of work. And when doing this, I would prefer some Linux or other part types from NTFS. NTFS is a M$ creation designed to host malware 2000 and malware XP.
