I am using a DOS  based real time = system to do=20 control tasks. I use DOS and BIOS calls to access HDD. If you use = Int=20 9, you don`t call disk services from real time tasks, and = deshabilites=20 smartdrv, causes HDD services don't stops real time tasks. My interrupt=20 latency  is 0,5 ms.
