I am also coding - actually most of the time - on a Unix machine. I need now to develop -on my PC (that is with DJGPP) - some codes that can discuss with UNIX, let say sending (ftp) files, launching codes there, and collecting back (ftp, again) results. I need to do that because I have to use huge codes that are already developped on Unix and that cannot be done again on a PC. I never used sockets, etc. Can someone help me on that and explaining me how this can be done? Thanks in advance for any helps (or hints) of that. best, Eric. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Eric Wajnberg Directeur adjoint du GDR CNRS 2155 Ecologie Comportementale I.N.R.A. 400 Route des Chappes, BP 167, 06903 Sophia Antipolis Cedex, France Tel : (33-0) 4.92.38.64.47 Fax : (33-0) 4.92.38.65.57 (provisionally) e-mail : wajnberg AT antibes DOT inra DOT fr Web page: http://www.antibes.inra.fr/perso/wajnberg/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
