I'm sure that there was not a space after the "\", because I use emacs, and emacs is kind enough to automatically strip any spaces behind a "\" when you're in Makefile mode. I've changed my makefile again, and put a space in between the "-I." and the "\" again. and it still compiles! So now, my makefile looks exactly the same is it did before (when it wasn't compiling) and now, it _does_ compile! Beats me.... Greets, Lorenzo
