Unfortunately, I don't think there is a ram drive like we really need. At least, I didn't found a device driver with the specs I'm going to describe. In my opinion it would be better that ram drive use memory only when it's required. At the moment, all existing ramdrives allocate the memory and then his usage is reserved. But what about using only the exact memory required for storing files? When files are deleted, that memory could be released, so our programs can use it. This remember me the RAM: disk in the Amiga systems, in other words, a "dynamic" ram disk. I haven't found something with this feature in the net, no SYSs, no VXDs, no WDMs. But I think it would be great to have that, it could stay installed for ever in our systems, because it doesn't use memory until we copy something into it. As I wrote before, I didn't found such drivers,... maybe you know if there is something similar hidden somewhere... Because I believe it's really possible to make that. Sincerely, Carlo
