I met the problem when executing a DJGPP gcc compiled program from another java program via Runtime.exec(). An error dialog will appear during runtime: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntvdm.exe Error while setting up environment for the application... My OS is Windows XP, but the similar problem happens on Windows 98, too. The program is very easy. It simply creates a file at c:\. When running directly from DOS prompt, it works fine. I compiled the program with the latest version of DJGPP.
