I've been an absent lurker ever since my ISP severed news service. I recently remembered that a mailing list is also available, so I am back. I would like to start by asking about ncurses. This is really on behalf of a friend. She is using ncurses on the school mainframe, and hence has (with borland) not avenue to compile at home. The PDCurses lib looks great, but her project uses the ncurses libs 'form' and 'menu' in conjunction with the typical 'panel' and 'ncurses. I have downloaded ncurses and all of the *utils from v2gnu, but I get an error running 'bash configure': configure:1023: PATH=".;."; conftest.sh configure: (null): Invalid argument (EINVAL) configure:1026: $? = 126 configure:1043: result: Configuring NCURSES 5.3 ABI 5 (...) configure:1073: error: cannot run /bin/sh ./config.sub So, my question is: does anyone have either a ncurses/panel/form/menu .a files, or a solution to correct the above failure. I believe I need 'configure' to run, to create header files needed by the source, so I am very stuck. Thanks, especially for DJ for a wonderful product!
