Instead of building the original package from the GNU FTP site, go to the v2gnu directory of your favorite DJGPP repository, download the latest gmpNNs.zip, unzip it, and follow the DJGPP-specific README file you will most probably find there. The source distribution on DJGPP sites is already configured to build with DJGPP, which will save you lots of blood, sweat, and tears.
