I don't know what to try next, apart from indicating that I am running XP with SP1 and all of the updates as of the last time I checked last week and appart from the 1.5.0.1 all the rest of the apps are what I built the previous weekedn using the latest CVS LIBC code. The only other thing to try is to play arround with info and see if you find any issues with the libc, gcc, gpp, rhide files. Good luck.
