I think perhaps you mean the one I'm following by Charles Wilkins: http://users.erols.com/praccompsol/djgpp/linux-x-djgpp-revised.txt In there he writes for requirements: autoconf-2.13 (not 2.5x) Note: From the automake NEWS file the last version of automake wich works with autoconf-2.13 is the version 1.5.
