If you need grahhics, animation, timing, joystick support, in other words a game library then have a look at allegro (http://alleg.sourceforge.net/ ) If you need to get sound under Win 2000/XP then you will need to use vdmsound which is available from http://www.ece.mcgill.ca/~vromas/vdmsound/ Andrew
