If someone would tell me I would be quite thankful. AUTOEXEC.BAT is a DOS startup file that contains commands/programs that run automatically when you boot into DOS. If you don't have a DOS reference book, you could look for a newsgroup in the comp.os.msdos.* subhierarchy.
