I have prepared updated DJGPP packages of automake 1.5. I have called these "release 2". This release fixes a bug in the installation of info manuals by automake-generated Makefiles. I have also produced a documentation package for automake 1.5. But what is automake? automake is designed to ease the burden of maintaining Makefiles. automake generates Makefile.in files from Makefile.am files. Makefile.am files contain automake macros. A macro may list the sources - from this automake will put all the rules needed to compile the sources into Makefile.in. The Makefile.in files are then used by autoconf to generate Makefiles. Binary (amake15b.zip), documentation (amake15d.zip) and source (amake15s.zip) packages of automake are available: http://www.simtel.net/gnudlpage.php?product=/gnu/djgpp/v2gnu/amake15b.zip&name=amake15b.zip http://www.simtel.net/gnudlpage.php?product=/gnu/djgpp/v2gnu/amake15d.zip&name=amake15d.zip http://www.simtel.net/gnudlpage.php?product=/gnu/djgpp/v2gnu/amake15s.zip&name=amake15s.zip If you wish to use automake, please download amake15b.zip. If you wish to rebuild automake from sources, please download amake15s.zip. If you wish to read the automake documentation in HTML, DVI or PostScript formats, please download amake15d.zip.
