My own preferences would be one of these two: 1. Let it be and just ignore the spam. 2. Do some sort of opt-in where your first email redirects you to a web page where you self-authorize. From then on, anything from your email address is auto-approved. I could also auto-approve any replies to previous posts (obviously, if you're reading the list you should be able to post to it also).
