At first I thought it's vcsa related, so i chmod 777 /dev/vcsa and now i myself and fwrite to /dev/vcsa and getting the results i want. Now, with Rhide 1.4.9-1 under root, the characters are all wrong, the background/desktop, all wrong sets of characters, looks ugly and funny. It works fine in non-root and under X/kde but under X/KDE the home/end key cannot be used, funny ^[] gets generated. Now about Tvision I was using rhtvision-1_1_4_src_tar.gz and it all installed, compiled ok. The problem is all the tutorials desktop/background ALSO is wrong character symbols, making it like it is as ugly as RHIDE running in Root. I wonder if I am doing anything wrong, I've already given /dev/VCSA rwxrwxrwx access, should I do the same for /dev/VCS too ? The TV example/tutorials works find in X/KDE but it's the 100 percent console mode that it's screwed up, root or no root.
