you can find out in which line the error
occurred with one of the utilities
that came with GCC, I don't know ATM
which, but it's probably in the FAQ ,
search for keyword sigsegv (?)

Usually this happens when GCC tries
to access memory in some forbidden area
or divides by zero or such
