Is it known if DJGPP produces some problems on this OS too? DOS sessions under XP appear to behave almost identically to those under Windows 2000 (the bad news). The good news is the binaries built on http://clio.rice.edu/djgpp/win2k/main.htm have not had any Win2K or XP specific reported bugs in their usage - at this point we believe they behave the same as under the other DOS environements. The last observered Win2K/XP specific problems were fixed in CVS around a month ago. If you are a developer and don't mind rebuilding images and distributions - I wouldn't be afraid of Windows 2000 or XP (they are much more stable than any other MS stuff). If you are not comfortable re-building images with patched libraries you should probably go with one of the older MS offerings.
