Source package: http://www.simtel.net/gnudlpage.php?product=/gnu/djgpp/v2apps/npbm916s.zip&name=npbm916s.zip This is the the official source package patched, because due to changes in makefiles the support to djgpp was broken. I expect next NetPbm releases will be ok. Please read the README.DJGPP file. Warning: The Netpbm distribution uses long filenames, so you can only build the package in a W9x environment, with LFN support. You need bash, fileutils, sed and groff to make the binaries. You need also libpng, libjpeg and libtiff to add png, jpeg and tiff support (NetPbm 9.16 has removed the internal libtiff library). You can get libpng and libjpeg in the v2tk directory (png1012b.zip and jpeg6bb.zip). Libtiff can be obtained here: http://www.libtiff.org Binaries and manual pages for DJGPP with TIFF, JPEG and PNG support: http://www.simtel.net/gnudlpage.php?product=/gnu/djgpp/v2apps/npbm916b.zip&name=npbm916b.zip There are some problems that have to be addressed using the binaries in pure DOS OS, without long file names, but it works OK using the "p?mmerge" programs, for example: ppmmerge ppmtoacad testimg.cad instead of the usual ppmtoacad testimg.cad Happy pbming, M.Alvarez
