This is exactly your problem: do NOT use WinZip.  It has several optional 
features that will entirely screw up your DJGPP installation, unless you 
are careful to disable them.

Rather than fighting with WinZip, simply remove everything you installed, 
then unzip all the *.zip files again, this time using the unzip32.exe 
program you downloaded.  Then do what the installation instructions say, 
and the problems should go away.
