Hi,
I write an operatin = system....
I should use the gcc to compile the = code, but gcc=20 it's a 32 bit compiler...
I read the 16bit code on web page, but = i=20 ask:
1) Where can i find the = gcc2.7etc....zip for=20 dos-platform ?
2) Umm i try to make the change on the = lastest=20 version but "diff configure" don't WORK!!
3) How can i be sure the code it's 16 = bit=20 ?

... I have dos-c source and linux 0.01 = source... i=20 used this source to write my os...
The boot it's not problem ( i can use = nasm or masm=20 or tasm) the problem it's the C-File
Which language, borland or gcc.:? I = prefer gcc 'cos=20 my os it's free and blah blah...
I want to do something like linux....so = i give the=20 os with source+gcc...I can compile my os, after i will install on=20 hard-disk
without create everytime the boot disk = on floppy=20 !!

Do you understand my problem ? =
PS: You answer ... say: Into boot go to = protect=20 mode, so You can use the gcc.... I think this, but go to protect mode = it's very=20 diffucult... it's better if i start with 16 bit it's more=20 simple..maybe...

How ever Bye Bye
