I get only 80Hz in >800*600, while in same resolution in windows I have 120 Hz... No, (afaik) Allegro doesn't support VBE 3.0, which would allow it to change refreshrates, but that wouldn't be a big help anyway, because probably nor does you displaycard. I don't know ANY displaycard with native VBE3.0 support, but there are TSR-programs which allow that for some cards. If you happen to be fortunate enough to own Matrox G-series card, you can get a really small TSR program that allows you to set all refreshrates or even create your own custom resolutions. In addition to that, it adds VBE3.0 support for your card. And it only takes something like 8kB of UMB. Get it from http://fuel.adsl.dk/gx00beta/ Unfortunately the guy who coded that program has disappeared. First he disappeared for couple of months, then I got e-mail saying that he just couldn't receive e-mails or something. After that I haven't heard anything of him, not even after MANY connecting attempts .. :( Anyway, his website is still up (and so is that supposed to be private betapage). If anybody knows anything about Gx00VBE author since last summer, please e-mail me and/or reply to this .. - Tronic -
