Ah, that one. That's an old problem caused by your diskette boot, and the somewhat unusual contents of your extremely stripped-down boot diskette's autoexec.bat and config.sys. That 'OMPT' is the end of the environment variable 'PROMPT', and the actual problem is that no PATH variable is availabe, or its value illegal. IIRC, the fix was to set up a usable PATH in autoexec.bat, like: path a:\;d:\d4 or something like that.
