I'm wondering a litle wonder about sprites: I've made some alpha channels of tiles in a tile-based game. The alpha tiles are black and white; no colors or greys. Now, would there be a difference in time if I a) draw_rle_sprite the black and white tiles on a memory bitmap as is, or b) make all the tiles hot pink and white instead of black, since blitting sprites skips pink. Even hollowing out big white tiles and filling a white outline with pink. I'm pretty sure white/ pink would go faster than white/black, but I figgered I'd ask before playing with my tiles. Thanks muchly! Chris
