Fixed by whom? If you mean Microsoft, I'm not even sure they acknowledge the problem, let alone care about it. They are the only ones who can really fix this. If you mean when a work-around be available, then this is an ongoing project. It's not easy, but at least we know already that one level of nested DJGPP programs doesn't crash the DOS box, so you can compile from the command line.
