Faffing around learning how to install it and use it, just to fix this one problem, seems silly to me, especially when the problem is a) not my fault and b) won't be fixed by "make veryclean" anyways, since lingering source files were overwritten and lingering .o files should be rebuilt by make and besides lingering .o files could only cause link errors -- never a compile error, and certainly not a parse error. -- Any sufficiently advanced magic is indistinguishable from an Allegro-using C++ program compiled with gcc.
