Don't worry there are plenty of people to help you. If you have any problems please contact and there would be many people willing to help you... BTW if you want to get on the djgpp mailing list just send a mmail to with "add djgpp" (without the quotes) in the message body. > Whoever reads this could they please find it in their hearts to > releive me of my toils and please tell me how to (in simple english, > please this bit is very important) how to download and install and run > djgpp or any other c++ compiler which might more suit a simple minded > person then please respond to this e-mail. Well I hope you received the mail that Janet posted to you. it was quite informative. The key is to use the zip-picker at and download the zips. Then you unzip the zips to a directory on your harddrive. I use c:\djgpp Please read the README.1ST in the djgpp directory. If you installed DJGPP in c:\djgpp then the file would be c:\djgpp\README.1ST. It contains the following 2 lines which you must add to your c:\autoexec.bat file. set DJGPP=C:\DJGPP\DJGPP.ENV set PATH=C:\DJGPP\BIN;%PATH% Afterwords you are ready to go. BTW I think you should get RHIDE which is a great IDE for DJGPP. Also I think you should look in the DJGPP FAQ which you download as faq230b.zip, if you have any problems.. If you have any more problems by all means please post them.. Grendel Hi, I'm a signature virus. plz set me as your signature and help me spread :)
