I'm not particularly disappointed that DJGPP doesn't provide the C++ library implementation. Mostly, I was concerned that I did something wrong when I installed the program. Since I'm a beginning C++ programmer, I had no idea if I had everything that I was supposed to have. On the other hand, what I like about wrestling with this stuff is that it is giving me a sense of what's going on "under the hood". That's pretty gratifying, and there's a certain benefit in having to go through workarounds. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. RoadRaat
