For about 2$ you can get a CD which contains watcom 11.x, Borland C++, and a whole lot of other compiler utilities. You can also get cd-roms with microsoft C++ etc. > > > It would be really interesting to find out that if you give a person a > > choice were money is not involved (ie like pirated cd's) whether they > > would go for Watcom or DJGPP. > > I wouldn't take any risks of using pirated stuff. Even my old Win 95 is > licensed. There aren't any risks as such. All these guys do is mass duplicate the cd in question and let us have it at a very reasonable price of 2 US$. IMHO If people are really paranoid I suppose a latest virus scanner should help. Allmost every kind of software ranging from windoze to photoshop is available. The only time I used a licensed win95 was when it came with my old computer. IMHO we shouldn't pay exorbitant prices when we can get the same software at a cheaper rate. I know there maybe ceartian "purists" who will think that this is a "cheap" and "not ethical" thing to do, but I'd also like to see whether these same people would walk by ignoring a shop selling Photoshop, Neopaint, Quake III CD's for only 2$. Grendel Hi, I'm a signature virus. plz set me as your signature and help me spread :)
