I have Emacs, DFE95 and RHIDE and they all have their good points. In
my opinion, the easiest one to set up for someone new to programming
would have to be DFE95, especially if you like to work with a typical
windows UI.  Emacs seems to be the coolest, although I would like to
try Xemacs when they get it stable. :0)
