You gave the compiler both the "-o" and either the "-c" or "-S" options. The -c and -S options both tell the compiler not to link what it produces (ie there is no linking stage when either of these options are given), yet the -o option specifies the executable file name (the file that is the result of linking). If you really want to use -c or -S, remove the -o option.
