The functionality is like the known WinSuck E-Mailer Eudora Pro 4.0, but it must be better. It must work under Dos with packet driver and under Linux on the console, with X or any WM. Now I had thunk, that I use a database like mySQL, but my problem is, that I have no experience with databases. I like to store my incoming and outgoing Mails and News in the database, and I have a better search and archiving funktions. I am programming since January 1999 with DJGPP and C under DR-Dos. Also I am using Debian 2.1 SLINK, but it does nort run sable currently. If anyone can help me to find the right database which works under Dos and Linux (possible under Win3x and Win9x too)... Oh yes, the database must be per user only (e.g., if I have 10 users on the machine, I will have 10 databases and no multiuser database like mySQL) And I have found some databases sources on SimTel, but they can not handle this volume of mails (I am subscribed to more then 10 mailinglisten and I get around 600-1400 Messages a day) with arond 600 MBytes in more then 150 mbox files. Thanks in advance Michelle from Strasbourg
