The library is 1.5MB with debugging information. Without debugging information it's a lot smaller. I can't remember how much smaller, probably ~400KB-500KB. You can't really get it much smaller than that, I'm afraid. It's a big beastie ;) 550KB for a program is quite small compared to most Windows networking programs.
