I edited my Autoexec.bat file (Win98) to include: set PATH=C:\cdjgpp\BIN;%PATH% set DJGPP=C:\cdjgpp\DJGPP.ENV I then restarted the computer. I tried to run emacs from the DOS prompt and it did not work. (I compiled and ran hello world fine using edit) I forget if I got a response more complex than "bad command or file name". Is there something else I need to do in order to install emacs, i.e. add another path setting? Or should this basic installation work and I am not supposed to be trying to invoke emacs from the DOS prompt? If neither of these is true whats the problem? ________________________________________________________________ Get FREE voicemail, fax and email at http://voicemail.excite.com Talk online at http://voicechat.excite.com
