You're quite sure about that are you?

The fact that

gives

suggests otherwise.

Don't *tell* us you've set up everything right; *prove* it.
Post the contents of your autoexec.bat and config.sys
(if that is meaningful under Windows 98) and then someone
might be able to help.

At the moment we've got nothing but a perfectly good
command line to go on.

I would suggest you read your DJGPP README.1ST file and do
what it says *to the letter*, but naturally you have done
that already ;)
