Oh, I see now.  You were referring to your previous message about the 
possible ways to type "g++" and have gxx.exe invoked instead.

Sure, this would work.  But we were talking about something different: to 
have a single file whose long file name is g++.exe and whose short file
name is gxx.exe.  *This* seems to be impossible.
