I have tried putting 'rhide.exe' into a directory by itself, on a separate drive from my normal DJGPP directory tree, and I have unset DJGPP, but set DJDIR to the current directory (which has only rhide.exe) and it crashes. In this scenario, there are no config files to load and yet it still crashes. If neither DJGPP or DJDIR are set, then rhide.exe does not crash. But, it works fine in real dos, under all situations. Also, when rhide is in it's normal directory structure, and it is run with DJGPP set properly, after it crashes; none of the config files have been accessed (their access dates do not change). -- -Rolf Campbell (39)3-6318
