Also note that GCC 2.8.1 is hopelessly buggy in its C++ compiler. Anyway, this is not a forum for discussing programming language preferences, this is a forum where people report problems and want them solved. For the solution to be efficient, it is better to post all the relevant information when you describe the problem.
