A parse error is issued when things don't go as expected.  Example:

int a a = 5;

It expects either a comma, an equal sign (followed by an expression), or
a semicolon where the second a appears.  This is a parse error.

I learned first from Teach Yourself C++ in 24 days, but I didn't stop
there.  I learned a lot from practice and from friends.  I also got
another C++ book... I think it's called The C++ Programmer's Bible.
