Helped clear up a few issues. I have attempted to install DJPP with RHIDE using the following procedure: -created a folder called DJGPP: C:\DJGPP using Win98 -copied the downloaded zip files into the C:\DJGPP folder -clicked onto one of the zip files and unzipped using WinZip (6.3) I then continued unzipping the DJGPP zip files back into the same C:\DJGPP folder -set the enviro in autoexec.bat using Win98/System Configuration Utility I cut and pasted the following lines directly from the FAQ: set DJGPP=C:\DJGPP\DJGPP.ENV set PATH=C:\DJGPP\BIN;%PATH% then rebooted When I try to run the command rhide in the Win98/Run box I get the following the error message: "cannot find the file 'rhide' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available." :( I can run rhide by drilling down the DJGPP rhide binary folder but the interface appears to be different to what I have used b4 ( I have successfully installed DJGPP previously whilst warming up on the Coroando tutorials, but recently did a clean install of Win98 to clean things up to start programming course). When I run rhide this way Win98 creates an M$DOS shortcut . When I attempt to run or etc. again from the run box still get the same error message. Also tried to run go-32-v2 with the same results. Have also run scandisk and decompression. I did a search on DJGPP.ENV and Win98/Find returns 2 entries: C:\DJGPP\gcc281b\gnu\gcc-2.81 3KB ENV (file type) C:\DJGPP\djdev202 4KB ENV " I have checked and double checked by visually comparing the Zip-Picker list to my C:\DJGPP\downloaded zips, and they are identical in name and size. When I downloaded DJGPP originally (earlier this year) I also downloaded the EMACS IDE and a couple more development tools like Allegro but as I didn't think I would be using these I didn't Zip-Pick them this time around. And I also used a local server in Australia (Tasmania) as opposed to an Asian server last time. Apart from these differences I'm pretty sure I have followed the same install procedure. I have attached the Zip-Picker result page as an 11.3KB html attachment. Again *any* assistance would be greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance and apologise for the lengthy post. begin 666 Zip Picker.htm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
